This was originally shared in the post B83 Sicilian Defense: Scheveningen Variation, Modern Variation #3. That post has been renamed to B83 Sicilian Scheveningen: 6.Be2, lines without ...a6 (7...Bd7). The rest of the post was typed when I originally shared this game, though I did changed the static position into a living diagram. This game was played in a team match called 3.) 1/1/2016. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016=SRETNA NOVA 2016.GODINA. The match consists of 12 boards it is played between MY FRIENDS, International, Moji prijatelji&Φίλοι μου and ISK Crvena Zvezda. I am playing on board 5 for MY FRIENDS, International, Moji prijatelji&Φίλοι μου. The current score in the match is 13.5 - 8.5 in favor of MY FRIENDS, International, Moji prijatelji&Φίλοι μου, which means that we have secured the win in this match!

In the 7th move can be seen a new move played by me. In this game I played the move 7.O-O, but I have also played 7.Be3 in that position. The mistake that lost the game for my opponent, came as early as move 9. The position where vladoo76 blundered the game away with the move 9...Ne5 can be seen below.

I know that the move 9...Qb8 did not seem like an attractive move to make, but it was the best option for vladoo76. I did not play the most accurate moves during the remainder of the game, but the advantage was firmly in my grasp all the way through to the forced mate.
