It has been some time since my last post, between the posts I have been updating some of my older posts and I have been working on with the puzzles I have shared in this blog. When I have completed the changes to the puzzles, new ones start appearing again. So far I have been able to do a bit over 300 puzzles in the new way, a few hundred still remain until I am ready to share what I have done with them. I have added new computer analysis to the following posts: C64 Spanish Game: Classical Variation, C13 French Defense: Classical Variation. Normal Variation, A00 Polish Opening: General, C44 King's Knight Opening: Normal Variation, B92 Sicilian Defense: Najdorf Variation. Opocensky Variation, C18 French Defense: Winawer Variation. Classical Variation, B45 Sicilian Defense: Four Knights Variation and B33 Sicilian Defense: Old Sicilian. Normal. While I went through the games that were in the post B33 Sicilian Defense: Old Sicilian. Normal, I noticed that one of the games was incorrectly placed there and actually belonged to the post B45 Sicilian Defense: Four Knights Variation, so I relocated that one game to the correct post. The amount of games in B33 Sicilian Defense: Old Sicilian. Normal is actually the same now as it was before the change, since I added a new game to that post the same day. I have also added one game to the following posts: C64 Spanish Game: Classical Variation, C13 French Defense: Classical Variation. Normal Variation, E38 Nimzo-Indian Defense: Classical Variation. Berlin Variation, C01 French Defense: Exchange Variation, C44 King's Knight Opening: Normal Variation, B92 Sicilian Defense: Najdorf Variation. Opocensky Variation, C18 French Defense: Winawer Variation. Classical Variation, C99 Spanish Game: Morphy Defense. Chigorin Defense Panov System and two games to the post A00 Polish Opening: General. Between this post and my previous post I also added my new commentary to all of the games in the post B70 Sicilian Defense: Dragon Variation. General. The games I have added to the posts still require me to do a lot of work in order for them to be at the level I like to see them, mainly I need to do my more detailed look at the games with diagrams. In case you are wondering why I have not done any videos to my YouTube channel in over a month, I have been rather busy in my attempt to make this blog as good as it can be. And even though it still requires hundreds of hours of work, I think I will record some Chess960 games today, so that I can start uploading videos again. I also partly stopped making videos for awhile because I was not really happy about the quality of the videos I recorded and it seemed that at the time I could not make any better ones. Maybe I am more motivated to do them now, we shall see...

Now for this new addition to the blog. Not only is it a new game, but it also features an opening variation that has not been seen in this blog before. The game I thought about adding tomorrow also features a new opening, in the context of this blog that is. This game was played at GameKnot, in "ichthus's mini-tournament v". Players could get into the mini-tournament only by invitation. I am not sure why I was invited to the mini-tournament, but I am glad that ichthus did because of the way that the mini-tournament has gone for me up to this point. I have already secured at least second place in the mini-tournament and I am only half a point behind willy_13 who is on first place. Since willy_13 has already played all of his games and I have two games still in progress, I have good chances to win the mini-tournament. It would be my first mini-tournament win if I were to able to win one of my two remaining games. I am not sure what would happen if I were to tie in points with willy_13. I do not know if it would be me or willy_13 that would be on first place in the final standings. Both of my games against willy_13 were rather short draws.

Apart from some small mistakes from both sides, this game was played quite well by both players and I do not think that there are critical moments that would be worth of diagrams. I will say though that the final position was somewhat uncomfortable for me and I was happy to get the draw offer from my opponent. The final position should be equal, but I think I would be more likely to mess things up than my opponent.
