I have played many short games in my time both as the winner and the loser. This game belongs to the latter. If I am not mistaken, I have faced this same idea quite recently in a couple of my games. Not sure how well they are going but I should be a bit better than I was back in 2008. Then again as I am bit lazy sometimes and maybe not learn some openings properly, my adversaries may be able to win quickly if they play some gambit that I am not that familiar with. It does not help that I am quite horrible at tactics. Maybe I am bad at tactics because of the aforementioned laziness. The game below is from 2008 and it was played in a site called Red Hot Pawn. It is the site where I started playing correspondence chess and also where I have played most correspondence games, Chess.com starts to be quite close to it though, both in finished games and games in progress. I have added five more puzzles divided in to mate in one, two and three pages. Until tomorrow, my fellow chess enthusiasts.
The blog features analysed games of mine, consisting of chess, chess960 and 3 check. There are also puzzles that you can solve by moving the pieces on the board and the solution can be checked by using the engine provided by the ChessBase's publishing tool. All games and puzzles can be downloaded for free!
