I am still able to find new opening variations to post and no end in sight so far. In other news, I have managed to get to 2140 now at Queen Alice, it is nice that at least somewhere my rating steadily increases to something I am quite proud of. That rating is my all time highest active rating anywhere, I wonder how long it stays over 2100. There is air in that rating I am certain of it but as long as I can keep the illusion alive for myself, I might feel like a decent chess player. It is not my only 2100+ rating but it is probably the only one that I feel like I have deserved it. Others include Chess mentor rating at Chess.com and maybe my standard rating at FICS. Couple of years ago I even managed to keep my tactics training rating over 2100 and peaked at 2165, the trainer that is at Chess.com that is. These days I can barely get 1700 there... I guess I am getting old or maybe I am too old to get it back where the rating once was.
The blog features analysed games of mine, consisting of chess, chess960 and 3 check. There are also puzzles that you can solve by moving the pieces on the board and the solution can be checked by using the engine provided by the ChessBase's publishing tool. All games and puzzles can be downloaded for free!
