This marks the 200th different opening variation featured here! It is a nice milestone to reach. Today I had to resign a game where apparently my opponent had taken my rook but for some reason or other I had not noticed it and did not take the rook with my remaining rook but instead moved my bishop so next move my opponent just took the other rook... I honestly don't know what is wrong, maybe some of the connections in my brain shut down sometimes or maybe just too many things going on at the same time that it is hard to concentrate on the current task. Sometimes I can see the whole board and other times I miss the most obvious things in the position. I hope my concentration is up to the task on Saturday when I need to go and play important team match. I am afraid that with my current state everything is possible but I might end up me blundering something that I would not blunder if I would be in my best form. I have added two mate in one, one mate in two, three and four puzzles today.
The blog features analysed games of mine, consisting of chess, chess960 and 3 check. There are also puzzles that you can solve by moving the pieces on the board and the solution can be checked by using the engine provided by the ChessBase's publishing tool. All games and puzzles can be downloaded for free!
