The amount of different opening variations covered here will be 200 in a few days. It is still hard to believe that I faced so many different ways to play. Then again not that many things really surprise me anymore. The fact that I may be one win away or really good draw away from reaching 2200 at Queen Alice Internet Chess Club is something that I may not have believed if you told me this year ago. My rating progress has been for the time being at least taken a bit of a dive in almost every site I play. At Chess.com I have dropped below 1900 which is maybe the biggest drop on any site at this time after going steadily up there for months. My rating at Red Hot Pawn has also dropped but not as much only 22 points or so. It is of course no catastrophe yet and maybe these drops are forced at some point in time as I can't win them all. I can only hope that I can somehow change the course back to new heights but it may continue its dive for some time at least at Chess.com. I have added new puzzles to mate in two, three, nine and eleven today.
The blog features analysed games of mine, consisting of chess, chess960 and 3 check. There are also puzzles that you can solve by moving the pieces on the board and the solution can be checked by using the engine provided by the ChessBase's publishing tool. All games and puzzles can be downloaded for free!
