This is from the fourth round game from the same 15 minute tournament as the game I shared yesterday. I was able to struggle my way for the win even though I was on the worse side until move 30 or so. I think I should not basically ever resign until there is a mate in one on the board because otherwise I may resign in a position where I am in a complicated position and misjudge the position and resign, only to discover after the game that the position is even or even slightly better for me. This has happened to me in a couple of games that I have recently analysed. I think I just need to get away from my correspondence games as soon as possible so that I would have time to go through my chess books that have collected dust for years now... I have to see if I can improve my basic level of chess understanding by going through the books or have I reached a limit where I can't learn anything anymore, not that I think that would be possible. I have added one mate in one, two mate in twos and two mate in five puzzles today.
The blog features analysed games of mine, consisting of chess, chess960 and 3 check. There are also puzzles that you can solve by moving the pieces on the board and the solution can be checked by using the engine provided by the ChessBase's publishing tool. All games and puzzles can be downloaded for free!
