E04 Open Catalan 5.Nf3 (1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.g3 d5 4.Bg2 c6 5.Nf3 dxc4 6.Ne5 Bb4+)

This is my latest game from GameKnot. The result might a bit weird if you look into the position where the game ended as White is clearly better there but it was my opponent who offered the draw. In my younger days I might have tried to play on even though I would see that I am on the worse side of things. Maybe as I have gotten older, I have also become a bit wiser and would not try to win if there is no real possibility for it anymore. This was played at GameKnot in a tournament called tedjj's mini-tournament XLIII. I have currently two of these mini-tournaments in progress and one is going well and the other one is going quite badly. The mini-tournament that goes badly is where this game was played. I am currently in ninth place in this 11 player tournament and unless I can win my remaining games, I might very well end up residing far, far away from the top positions. I have also added three puzzles to mate in twos and two puzzles to mate in threes. Until tomorrow, my fellow chess enthusiasts!
