Admittedly maintaining a chess blog that has something new every day is sometimes a lot of work but then again if I had to pick my dream job, it would a chess blogger. I may not call myself a professional blogger yet but hopefully some day I can. The game below, played in the first round of the 2014 September Glacial Super Casual I tournament, presents 231st different opening variation that I have covered here. Still a long, long way to go if I am to feature every single opening here and then again I doubt that I have played every single one, at least not yet. This tournament has gone quite well except for one game where I blundered in a huge way, I will post that game at some point in time. In that game I was up four pawns but missed my opponent's mate threat and lost. Because of the long thinking times I should not have played so fast and without much thought but maybe it taught me something valuable, always look the whole board before making a move. I know that I should have learned that lesson a long time ago but sometimes I get carried away. That game is also the only game I have lost in this tournament out of the six games that have finished. I have added one mate in two and four mate in four puzzles today. For all the women that have wandered here today to see this blog, happy International Women's Day!!
