If I had seen that Qe3 move at the end and the fact that it does not lose a pawn during this game, I would have carried on at least for that move and test my opponent. Of course I have no doubt in my mind that he would not have gone for that pawn but now I will never know for sure. I resigned as I saw only forced mate in my future. This game was played in a team match called Open Challenge Team 8. It is played between Team 8 and Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy. One of my favorite books of all time is The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy that contains five classic novels from the Douglas Adams's beloved Hitchhiker series by the way. It is no surprise then that I play board three for the Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy in this match. The match is played on 24 boards and the current score is 25,5 - 17,5 so our opponent, Team 8, has already secured the win. I have added three mate in ones, one mate in two and one mate in today.
The blog features analysed games of mine, consisting of chess, chess960 and 3 check.
