In order to be consistent in naming my posts, I renamed this post to D53 Queen's Gambit Declined: 4.Bg5 Be7: Early deviations (1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.Bg5 Be7 5.e3 Ne4), even though its previous name D53 Queen's Gambit Declined: Lasker Defense was something I could have kept, since both the old and new ways of naming these openings considered the point of which to name the opening the same, which was after 5...Ne4. For today I picked a game that was played over 13 years ago at the Finnish School Team Championships. Back in those days I seem to have forgotten to put in the notation what was the round the games were played and other info about the games is also missing, for example, not all the games I played in that tournament had all the moves included in the notation and therefore I have not put them in my database either. It is somewhat disappointing but then again, the games I played back then were not all that well played by me anyway, so maybe it does not matter all that much that the notations are a bit incomplete. There are now 843 analysed chess games in this blog. It is only a small fraction of the games I have played and have notation of but if the amount of games I share keeps up with recent days, then at least I am publishing more games than I finish in the current rate. And that means I might some day catch up... It will not happen anytime soon, I am certain of that.
The blog features analysed games of mine, consisting of chess, chess960 and 3 check. There are also puzzles that you can solve by moving the pieces on the board and the solution can be checked by using the engine provided by the ChessBase's publishing tool. All games and puzzles can be downloaded for free!
